Framing the Guilty Man

.
This evening I watched a really interesting television program on the Trial of OJ Simpson. Its the first time I've considered the case having done a law degree and having some idea of the general prinicples of law. I love having my eyes widened even if it just momentarily, even if I go back to believing what I always believed about the subject - I love the process through which my brain goes to get there.

- In the criminal trial, do you believe that the jury correctly found OJ Simpson "not guilty"?
- Does "not guilty" mean "you didnt do it?" or does it mean "we were unable to find you guilty beyond reasonable doubt?"
- Would a jury have found OJ Simpson guilty if that had been composed juryof a greater number of white americans, rather than the 85% of african americans of which the jury was made?
- Did the LAPD frame an innocent man or did they frame a guilty man?
Hmmm.. something to ponder.
