Beautiful Mercedes, the polar bear, and one of Edinburgh Zoo's favourite residents.




This magnificent animal was found by animal welfare people in Canada, rummaging around litter in the middle of a Canadian town. Edinburgh Zoo offered to take her in, and the trip to get her here was funded by the Mercedes car factory (hence her name).




Soooooo cute! You tend to forget these gorgeous bears can kill humans with their bare hands (no pun intended!)
