The Rules of Scrabble

It is very hard to play Scrabble with the Boy. He won the second game simply because he put down the word "nae" which used up all his letters, hence gaining a bonus 50 points.

The rules of Scrabble specifically state that you cannot use words which are from a foreign language.

The Boy said that it wasnt a foreign language. Its Scottish for "no".

I said that was foreign.

He said "nae its not. You're in Scotland. Its not foreign. Its my language".

So we drove to the bookstore and to see if it was in the Scrabble Dictionary.

Looked up the word "nae", and there is was. A legitimate Scrabble word.

Dammit.

I often play scrabble vs. my brother. He knows all the 2 letter words in the dictionary. It's extremely frustrating.
