This is the World We Live In - A Snapshot Look at Today's News

Hamas is to allegedly take control of Palestinian security forces when they resume power in the Middle East, increasing fears that violence will escalate with Isreal. It appears that the fragile "cease fire" reached between the Fatah movement and Ariel Sharon is all but a distant memory.

The furore continues worldwide as Muslims protest the cartoons that were published by a Danish and Norweigan newspaper, while the West protest the right to free speech.

The world needs a great big dose of tolerance. Ridicule of ANYONE's beliefs is offensive. The world needs to learn that while we may have an inherent right to free speech, maintaining respect for another human being's beliefs should be paramount.

.

Iran have been sent off to the "sin bin" aka the United Nations Security Council over allegations of "inappropriate nuclear testing programs".

And so the games begin. The UN will send in weapons inspectors. Weapons inspectors wont find any "illegal testing". The US wont accept it. The US will go in and look for the weapons themselves.
