A Day Trip to Lauriston Castle
Yesterday, I went on a little day trip to Lauriston, an old castle three miles out of Edinburgh. It was a nice, quiet day in the sunshine and it was finally good to get away on my own. Lauriston Castle was built in the 16th Century and has lovely grounds, including a field where oldies get to play croquet by the river side. Heaven!

I am SO pleased to hear you're going to see Andrew & Maureen! What a cathartic place that is! Just what you need, although if you'd planned to avoid the booze, I fear you may be headed in the wrong direction ... hehehe ... I'm sure your shabby clothes were my idea of dressed up (as usual)
