Just How Far Can A Pound Stretch?

Well I start my new job this morning and I am so excited! I will send photos as soon as I can of me in my little kilt.

The reality of what I've gone and done hit home last night while I was out at the club, when I went up to the bar and realised that in order to afford a beer, I have to sell tartans for half an hour. Quite a reality check!!!

I think that the fact that this is a low paying job will be as much a part of this whole trip as anything else. I think its about time I learnt to be a little more careful with my money, and maybe I will realise just how darn lucky I was to be receiving the huge salary Nick was paying me back home!!

There are going to be two rules though:

1. The credit cards are NOT to be used.
2. I will NOT use the remainder of my Australian money.

Lets see how it goes, huh?

i'm very glad to know you have found something you like... that's the best part of it all..

and as you say, pay may not be "all that".. but if this life makes you happy, it's better than getting paid millions and being unhappy... right??? or maybe not??
hehehehe

*hugs*

I bet you look cute in the kilt. I actually own one, though I seldom if ever wear it. Especially here in Tejas.

I think success is in the eyes of the doer not the beholder (unlike beauty). Regardless what you may eventually settle on, you are doing what you set out to do: experiencing a different lifestyle. Bravo!
