Could This Really Be Me?

When I think about amazing experiences in Canada, sure, I think about skiing down a slope in Canada feeling the wind on my face and enjoying the space around me. But I also think of the loud music, the copious amount of alcohol and sharing a room with a stranger for six months.

When I think of Africa... I cant put my mind to it because it is so special, so beyond my imagination. Its something that I have always wanted to do but never imagined I could do it. But here I am, looking through guide books and thinking "I could really do this".

Is the partying and the alcohol in Canada going to be any different than anywhere else? Even Edinburgh? I don't think so. I think the only unique thing in Canada will be the skiing and snowboarding - but Europe has skiing and snowboarding, and a lot closer too!

But Africa. There is magic in Africa! It is not the animals. Or the people. Or the magnificent landscapes and seascapes. Or the mysterious and wonderfully different foods. It's all of these combined. And so much more! A once in a lifetime experience for most of us not already living there, no? And yes, Africa also has alcohol and parties - never fear.

And as for the Boy - you are both being consumed and blinded by The Now. Not to mention just a few raging hormones! If this relationship is meant for the here and now - as well as for all time - then it will stand the test of time apart. Indeed, it will not only withstand that test - it will grow stronger from it. Trust me on this one, for I know of what I speak. If you find it has not grown stronger, or that the separation has weakened the relationship or the feelings - then you both need to be open to facing that realistically.

If you love something - let it go. If it flies away never to return, it was never yours in the first place. But if it returns to you - it is yours for all time.

Hey, why can't I post a comment on your "Mistake?" Blog? It says the link is not found or something.

Anyway, in response to that - you think too much, definitely. Relax, go with the flow. Stop thinking so much! I agree with ET. If you love something let it go, he'll be right where you left him when you get back, if that's what's meant to happen.

Now go have fun in Africa with the Lions and Effelants. Sure beats Western Plains Zoo!! hehe.

If the only reason you were coming to canada was to party, then definately go to Africa. Unknown to most of your blog readers, Canada is not restricted to a few ski slopes. This summer i had the priviledge of working north of the 71st latitude - a place that might be just as magical as Africa. Think of the sun never setting, the lakes never thawing, millions of years of geology right in front of your eyes. Now try to think of all that while running away from musk-ox. Or maybe it's better that these things are kept a secret and that the general public never knowns about the Great White North.

I don't think Kate so much thought all she'd do in Canada was party, but I think she feared that the sheer nature of living and working on the slopes might side-track her from her adventures!

Canada is a fantastic place and I think everybody should see it! :)

Oh, Heavens to betsy, Kate. Just shag the boy and move on. Stop agaonizing over it, dear!

And stop deleting my posts. Your censorship is very Orwellian. A world where Truth is defined by the Authorities is no world at all but a dictatorship.

Do you treat your Boy this way? Or, maybe 'is kink is getting off by being bossed around by a tough-ass lawyer girl! ;-)
